Position Title: Program Staff - Out-tripper
Location: YMCA Camp Elphinstone, Gibsons, BC
Terms: Seasonal Contract, Full Time

Salary: $101.20 - $104 per day, dependent on position, experience and qualifications

Reports To: Summer Camp Director

Description: – Out-Trippers are responsible for executing a camper focused out-tripping program that meets BCCA and YMCA risk management standards. Out-trippers will work with the Out-Trip Director to ensure that all trip equipment is properly maintained and in safe working order. Out-trippers will plan, prepare and lead 1-8 day canoe trips in Howe Sound and Desolation Sound, ensuring that Leave No Trace principles are followed and taught on-trip, and are responsible for the overall safety and experience of both campers and staff. Out-trippers must be 19 or older by July 1, 2018.
