WHAT IS AN "ASPIRING" CAMP?

We support several member camps who are actively Aspiring towards becoming fully accredited by the BC Camps Association. An Aspiring member camp must be in operation (and be a BCCA member) for at least 1 year before an Accreditation visit will be made. All new member camps start at the Aspiring level and go through a peer-reviewed process to become provincially accredited. 

Camps are at the Aspiring level when they are not currently in compliance with our accreditation standards in one or multiple areas. Our team provides encouragement and guidance to their camp teams to help them in their accreditation process. Camps who were at one time Accredited may also be reverted to Aspiring status due to major changes in leadership or operations. 

*If a camp is not listed in either or Accredited or Aspiring directories it means they are not affiliated with nor receive guidance or oversight from the BC Camps Association.
