Reports To: Outdoor Education Coordinators / Outdoor Education & Events Manager

Nature & Scope
Outdoor Education Facilitators will deliver program instruction, interact directly with children, and provide positive customer service to school and retreats.
With the support of the Outdoor Education & Event Coordinators, facilitators are expected to role model and deliver high-quality, safe and participants focused outdoor education programming for students from elementary and high schools while providing excellent customer service to all guests and adults retreat groups on site.
The Facilitator will play a vital role in supporting both program and event service aspects, adapting to a variety of bookings ranging from school groups to adult retreats and weddings.
Reporting to the Outdoor Education Coordinators, Facilitators will be trained in all program areas at camp and will executive programming following all risk management, policies and procedures, and within the scope of their training.
The Facilitator role includes supporting kitchen duties, assisting with facility maintenance, and performing general upkeep tasks as needed.
Facilitators will also contribute to cleaning and crew tasks to help maintain the site and ensure the facilities remain in excellent condition.
Responsibilities
- Provide the required skills and expertise learned in training to facilitate safe and effective programming and high-quality service.
- Interact directly with children and encourage interaction between children.
- Provide positive customer service and high-quality experience to all guests and clients from schools, private rentals and retreats, and weddings.
- Assist with general maintenance, cleaning, and site support duties as required for daily operation.
- Ensure all participants and staff follow camp rules, respecting each other and the facility.
Qualifications
- Standard First Aid & CPR-C
- Criminal Reference Check with a Vulnerable Sector Screening issued no later than six (6) months preceding start date
- 2 Successful Reference Checks
