    We are hiring flexible, enthusiastic and experienced teaching and/or camp counsellor staff to join our camp team at the excellent boarding schools in either Rothesay near Saint John in New Brunswick or Mill Bay on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Your team will be welcoming young adults aged 11-17 from all over the world to be challenged by our academic programme and inspired by our leisure programme. As a student counsellor you will play a key role in leading and supervising the day and residential students throughout the programme day. The role requires flexibility due to the fact students are boarding and requires staff members to be on duty throughout the full 24 hour day. The duties require versatility due to the variety of the work, typically the duties can include supervision of student groups throughout activities, trips, lectures, transfers at school or the airport, morning receptionist/administrative or evening and overnight roll call. All applicants must be over 18 years of age before the programme start date. The programmes collectively run between 29th June and 19th August. Please note there will be mandatory training days before your start date.

    • enjoys taking responsibility
    • some experience in working with young people.
    • recent work experience.
    • an enthusiastic, flexible approach to work.
    • an interest in developing the language and skills of international students
    • experience, skills and qualifications which you can offer in the form of activities for the students

    Other skills desirable:

    NL Lifeguard certificate

    Second languages

    First aid qualified
