Camp Manager

Since 1952, Easter Seals BC/Yukon has offered programs and services to children with disabilities and their families. Building on decades of experience, Easter Seals BC/Yukon is a trusted charity and established leader in the support of the disabled community. In BC and the Yukon, children and families are supported and inspired through programs and services delivered at Easter Seals Camp Winfield, Easter Seals Camp Shawnigan, Easter Seals Camp Squamish, and Easter Seals House in Vancouver.
Role
- · Oversee the camp from a facilities perspective, playing a lead role in upkeep, maintenance, sanitation and repair of camp facilities/assets as well as overseeing the ordering, supervision and preparation of food being served.
- · Works with the Management, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Food Services teams to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of site.
- · Collaborate with the summer camp program and offseason rentals to ensure a successful program and rental experience.
- · Engage with local community to promote strong community ties, revenue opportunities and represent the organization.
Qualifications
- · Experience in general facilities, grounds, and equipment maintenance
- · Ability to work effectively with other team members as well as function independently
- · Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- · Completion of a WHMIS training course an asset
- · Successful candidate must clear a criminal record check with vulnerable sector search
Commitment
This is a full time, permanent, live-in position at Camp Winfield in Lake Country, British Columbia.
