    Position: Bookkeeper Coordinator – 21 Hours Per week (Flexible Schedule)

    Purpose of This Role:

    Reporting to the Sr. Manager Office Operations and General Manager, the Bookkeeper Coordinator will apply technical bookkeeping knowledge for reconciling, balancing, and assisting in the preparation and reporting of financial information of the companies.  The position will assist with payroll, overflow bookkeeping, year ends and tax preparation for multiple companies.

    Desired Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes

    • Educational background in accounting and/or bookkeeping preferred
    • Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or public practice experience required
    • Familiarity and comfort using various types of current technology
    • Extensive knowledge and proficiency using Intuit QuickBooks desktop version and QuickBooks online
    • Extensive knowledge and experience with the preparation of Payroll, ROE’s, WCB, T4 and EHT
    • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Excellent organization and time management skills with strong attention to detail
    • Ability to understand and reconcile inter-company accounts
    • Works efficiently within a team environment
    • Possess a positive “can do” attitude

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform full cycle bookkeeping for multiple companies includes AP, AR
    • Assists management with various financial reports, system upgrades/implementations etc.
    • Calculate and file government remittances as required
    • Preparation of year end working paper packages
    • Ensures month-end accounting activities are completed such as various bank account reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, deposit account reconciliations and preparation of journal entries
    • Handles confidential materials and documents
    • Performs other duties as required – may include compliance filings special projects, and year ends.’
    • Manage payroll process for both salaried and hourly employees

    Wage and Benefits: $ 23.00 -$26/Hour (21 Hours Per Week) - depending on experience and qualifications 

    Annual Performance Incentive, RRSP Match Contribution, Health Care Allowance, Training Allowance, 4 Weeks Paid Holidays.
