Stephen Jackson After a couple years on the board, I’m as passionate as ever about creating member value. I hope to help accomplish this by working together with the current team (which is fantastic) on year to year projects and new and fresh projects as well. I’m honoured to be given a chance to work with these people and want to do my best to contribute and make the profession of camp as successful as possible. |
Mollie Winter Bio Coming Soon! | ![]() Treasurer Cassie Bloy Cassie is the Camp and Operations Director at a soon-to-be open camp on the Sunshine Coast. She has recently moved to the BC coast from Northern Alberta, where she sat on the Alberta Camping Association Board as the Membership Chair and most recently spent 5 years running and growing an inclusive year-round facility. Cassie is passionate about the camping community and bringing everyone together in an environment that will allow for industry growth and development of its professionals. She is excited to dive into the BC camping community and learn about the needs and demands that fuel BC camps. |
Lenea Grace Lenea Grace is the Manager at YMCA Camp Elphinstone on the Sunshine Coast. She has worked in camping for over 20 years. Prior to this role, she directed YMCA Camp Wapomeo in Nova Scotia, Camp Huronda (Diabetes Canada) in Ontario, and worked as the national project manager for D-Camps (Diabetes Canada). Lenea also holds teacher certification with the Ontario College of Teachers. She is committed to providing campers and clients with transformative outdoor experiences. |
Kristen Hyodo Kristen has been with Sasamat Outdoor Centre’s for the last five years as the Program Director. As one of those Ontario import’s, Kristen bring’s 8 years of experience from the Ontario camping world. After graduating with a degree from the University of Western Ontario, she spent a year abroad in Cape Town, South Africa working with Medicins Sans Frontieres on their fundraising team. Kristen spent countless summers as a camper and staff member at Sparrow Lake Camp, and Kristen also worked for a year in Adventure Therapy at Wendigo Lake Expeditions. Kristen is committed to continually improving industry standards for summer camps, and passionate about her work on professional development through the BC Camping Conference. She looks forward to spending another year working with an excellent group of leaders in our province. |
Paul Chatterton is the Program Director at Strathcona Park Lodge & Outdoor Education Centre. He has over 15 years experience in the outdoor education and adventure tourism fields and holds a degree in adventure tourism from Thompson Rivers University. Paul believes in actively contributing to community and coaches hockey, is on the board of Avalanche Canada and formerly sat on the board of the Federation of Mountain Clubs of BC. Paul is preoccupied with mountain biking and has ruefully accepted that he will never be faster than his two kids on cross country skis. |
